This week we are concluding our journey through part of the book of Acts. You’re encouraged to read verses from Acts each day, while also using parts of Psalm 119 and other verses from scripture as part of your daily devotional time.

 

Monday (7/26)

Read Psalm 119:89-91 to point your heart and mind towards the Lord and the significance of his Word.

 

Read Acts 17:16-34.

 

Pray in response to the Lord and what you read.

 

 

Tuesday (7/27)

Invite the Lord to speak to you through the words of scripture.

 

Read Acts 18:1-17 and part of Paul’s first letter to Christians in Corinth found in 1 Corinthians 1:1-9.

 

Pray to the God who listens, sharing what is on your heart and mind.

 

 

Wednesday (7/28)

Read Psalm 119:103 to prepare your heart and mind for reading scripture and focusing on the Lord.

 

Read Acts 18:18-28.

 

Pray in response to the Lord and what you read.

 

 

Thursday (7/29)

Invite the Lord to speak to you through the words of scripture.

 

Read Acts 19:1-22 and part of Paul’s letter to the Christians in Ephesus found in Ephesians 1:1-14.

 

Pray to the One who can answer your prayers.

 

 

Friday (7/30)

Read Psalm 119:105 to prepare your heart and mind for reading scripture and focusing on the Lord.

 

Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal a word, phrase or verses that is specifically for you for today from scripture, then read Acts 19:23-41.

 

Pray in response to the Lord and what you read.

 

 

Saturday (7/31)

Read Psalm 119:129-133

 

Seek the Lord and to discover his message to you as you read Acts 20.

 

Pray in response to God and how he worked in your life, the life of those you know, or within the world, this past week.

 

Consider observing the sabbath either today or tomorrow as a time to rest, reflect, and enjoy recreation. The questions below can be used to help with reflecting:

 

How did I see, hear, or encounter God during this past week?

 

Who needs to hear about my experience sometime in the coming days?
